Counselling may enable you to make some changes in your life and improve your wellbeing, family situation, relationships and/or work and career opportunities. The process of counselling can help you to develop self-awareness, to understand the triggers to feeling a certain way or to accept things that have happened. It can also help you to gain a new perspective on your situation.
Based in a convenient location in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor. I help people who are experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety and stress to understand themselves, to find ways to move forward and to learn some coping strategies. I help people who are experiencing relationship difficulties to explore how they can improve their relationships and to recognise their choices. I also help people who are feeling disappointed with the way their life is turning out to make sense of things and to find a way to live in a more fulfilling way.
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). In addition I am a member of the BPS Division of Counselling Psychology, and a Founding Member of the BACP Coaching Division. I hold a Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a published researcher and author in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.
